A nice example of the pumphandle motion we use to teach pushing the spool (aka the wheel of pain) Here the dog is being fed for retracting her feet but in another instance she might need to be fed for pressing into the spool in which case you would reward for stepping the front feet forward instead of pulling back. Of course if you try this trick, get your dog feeling safe interacting with the spool first, otherwise you might scare them off before you get a chance to teach them anything. #wheelofpain #dogtraining #dogtricks #canine_circus_school
