I’m most proud of the Canine Circus School curriculum when it creates a transformation in the dogs character and confidence. This is the case with Barclay AKA Greystoke. Barclay was nervous and defensive when he started his journey, his handler sensing Barclay’s distress was concerned and wanted to quit, but after being reassured that we have seen many dogs transform by following our simple exercises she gamely decided to continue with the course. By class 4 Barclay’s transformation was starting to manifest; his trembling nerves calmed and he stood with more confidence, center of gravity forward, chest out. Activities that would usually cause a crisis of self doubt now stoked his charge. He began to be more accepting of stress and therefore more resilient. His handler was brimming with pride, turns out Barclay loves tricks. By class 5, Barclay transformed to Greystoke and had reached within himself and found that terrier spirit. #terrier #greystoke #transformation #terrierspirit #caninecircusschool

Move over pumpkin spice, Mamey shake is what I crave. I saw mamey sapote at the grocer and jumped on the chance to quench my craving for a mamey shake. I used to get them at a Cuban place in Burbank a long time ago. I made this one with almond milk rather than condensed milk and it turned out great. Just mamey and vanilla almond milk, then blend.
